Hello all. I'm receiving an Error Config status under Value within the tag configuration. With the following message under Quality - "Error_Configuration("Bad_TooManyMonitoredItems: The request could not be processed because there are too many monitored items in the subscription.")

I am within the limits of subscriptions (the opc server has no limits and source server has 2000 subscriptions remaining)
I've also attempted to create new tag groups and move the tags+points into new groups but to no avail. Any tag that gets imported into ignition is currently throwing up this error config status even with a confirmed working config.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

I don't think you are - Bad_TooManyMonitoredItems only ever comes from the server, it's not something the client will ever set on its own.

Try splitting your tags into two or more separate tag groups. Each group will get its own subscription. You might be hitting an item count limit within that server on a per-subscription basis, separate from the overall limit for number of items.

I know this is pretty old but in case someone with the same issue stumbles upon this, I had the same issue on import or even manually changing a value within an OPC UDT structure and I was able to clear it by doing a start and stop of the gateway
