Hello everyone,
I am experiencing an issue when trying to open a project in Ignition Perspective (version 1.1.39). I receive the following error message: "Error: could not find java.dll Error: Could not find Java SE Runtime Environment."

I have already tried reinstalling both Java and the Ignition Perspective software, but the problem persists. Additionally, I've read through several solutions on this forum, but none have resolved the issue for me.
If anyone has encountered a similar problem or has any suggestions on how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate your help.
Thank you in advance!
What OS and hardware are you trying to run this on?
Also, to clarify: you are trying to launch a Designer, correct? The Designer Launcher application works, but launching the Designer itself does not?
Windows 10 x64bits, and my java version is 1.8.0_421.
The Java version does not matter, Ignition ships its own Java runtimes since Ignition 8. You do not need a separate Java installation.
Which application is actually failing? See my last question.
Yes, the designer opens correctly but when i try to open a project this error appears
Can you show me the application you think is the "designer"? I think you are talking about the Designer Launcher, and that trying to launch the Designer and open a particular project is failing. It's important that you can accurately describe your problem if you're going to get help.
Yes, sorry, i was talking about the Designer Launcher.
In your user home directory there should be a .ignition
folder with a designerlauncher.log
file in it. See if you can find that and upload it here.
Try deleting this whole folder: C:\Users\alber\.ignition\cache\resources\runtimes\17.0.10\
and then launch again. It should download and unpack a new runtime.
If that doesn't work give support a call. It's possible AV software or something is intereferring with that process.
It works!! Thank you so much for your time!
