Do you have any remote tag providers using that gateway name? Do you have gateway network connections or any certificates installed for that gateway name?
If there are no dependencies using that gateway name, then a restart of the local gateway should remove that remote gateway entry.
If after checking those dependencies and restarting the gateway you are still seeing the error, please open up a support ticket with us at https://support.inductiveautomation.com/hc/
