Expected IP VS Actual IP

I have a saw selector where the operators do just that... select a saw they are working on. I'm trying to find a way to use the actual IP and the one that is expected for that HMI screen to stop an operator from selecting the wrong saw on their screen. I have the tags ready for the actualIP and the ExpectedIP but don't know what the next step would be. What are some good ways to do this?
