I am having an issue with opening an Excel file that was created using the default EasyChart Save Data for Excel button function. It comes up with “The file you are trying to open, ‘Chart.xls’, is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now?” I click yes and then it gives me another error “Unable to read file.” I have also tried changing the file format to xlm. And get the same Unable to read file. If I change to CSV it opens but there is no data.Using Excel 2010. Ignition Version 7.9.8.
This is an issue in 7.9.8, fixed in 7.9.9 (
should be out soon is now available).
