There are a few ways to export tags within Ignition. I wanted to record this one here because this exports ALL tags into a single JSON file. I struggled at least once to remember how to export my tags this way, so I hope it helps others who have forgotten it. I thought this would be included in the Ignition manual, but it is a little nuanced so I get it.

You can deselect tags in the browser by pressing Esc, and then continue on to exporting all tags from there. But importantly:
- exporting from the UDT Definitions tab only exports UDT definitions, regardless if any tags are selected or not.
- exporting from the Tags tab will export both standard tags and UDT definitions if no tags are selected
I agree it's not obvious.. And the manual doesn't include that this second point is possible at all
@Paul.Scott something to clarify in the doco?

You can also hit refresh to deselect.

Just note that refresh will also collapse your expanded folders as well
