We have Fanuc molding presses that we want to collect molding data from using OPC UA throught the Linki 2 opc server (it is a fanuc software that acts as an opc server amongst other functionalities) But it uses euromap 77 standard and Event based data reading, not subscribe.
Has anyone managed to read data like this or does Ignition not support this functionality yet ?
Ignition doesn't support OPC UA Events right now, but are you sure that's how data is delivered in Euromap 77? There may be some information/events you're interested in conveyed this way, but data isn't usually transmitted to client's via events.
OPC UA Event support is coming in Ignition 8.3
Thank you for the response, yes very sure that the information that we need is delivered via Event (Confirmed by Fanuc support engineers).
Is there release date on Ignition 8.3 ?

I've been on the same roadblock, good to know OPC UA events is on the Ignition roadmap. You can read current values of the injection molding unit using OPC UA DA subscription, but the 'shot' information is available via OPC UA events - and that really is the data we want from the LINKI OPC server.
I didn't try all to long, but I tried to read the LINKI OPC server events with a 3rd party OPC UA client (UaExpert) but wasn't able to read anything (I could read the normal data access data).
Another thing I've wanted to attempt with the LINKI's OPC server but haven't tried yet is seeing if I could transfer mold files. There are some parameters related to file transfer but haven't looked into it much. We have the LINKI web GUI but the user/file management is a bit lacking and something much better could be built in Ignition & Perspective.
