When I restore a gateway the modules/com.inductiveautomation.perspective directory of gateway doesn’t restore in new system. I check the *.gwbk file and this folders exist in it.
This is important because I add several new fonts, custom ICON library.
I’ve filed an internal ticket to see about a solution for this - there’s competing interests; we don’t want to back up the first-party content, because we expect it to change as we upgrade Perspective, but we should come up with a solution for allowing you to add your own assets and have them backed up automatically.

i think the best approach is to only restore additional user resource like svg library, .css files and fonts.
All standard light.css, dark.css, material.svg and fonts update with gateway files.
and add option to use more than one css file. specially ones for fonts.
