How hard would it be to modify the named query editor to save the test parameter values? It would save having to enter them again any time the project is re-opened.
It would also be nice to be able to supply null as a parameter value to simulate when a parameter is not included in the dictionary.

Better handling of nulls, definitely; I’m pretty sure there’s already a ticket for that.
Saving test parameters is an interesting idea. Would you expect it to be saved onto the actual resource? Or just persistent within a particular designer?
I was hoping you'd have a good idea regarding that! I think saving it on with the query might be good enough. It would mean that multiple users would overwrite each others test parameters but at least there would be something in the boxes.
While we're on the topic, you can't edit a date in the test parameters. Clicking in the field wipes the parameter completely. Can that be fixed too?
