[Feature Request] Tag editing, reference tags, etc

Tags are the absolute core of any SCADA system.

Why, when creating reference tags, is there a teeny tiny window that I need a telescope to view.

Then I maximise it, get that tag done, go to do the next one, and boom back to being outside the Milky Way.

8.1.35.

8.3 planned for Q3 ‘26.

I don't think I've ever noticed that before (and I'm sure that’s something that I would comaplin about )

Is your Windows display scaling set to anything other than 100%?

I’m RDP’d into a customers Dev workstation, to answer that I’m going to have to ping my IT guy…

I’m creating reference tags to MQTT engine, so some really long paths, and it’s just annoying.

So I’m WFH today, so fired up my 8.3.3 dev;

My 4K monitor is 150% but my monitor 2 (designer) is 100%

Do you have 8 monitors at home??

16 in my home office. Look at my wee forum pic here. A 3x3 Matrix (hehe, pun intended) 9 x 24” 1080p with a 27” 4K to the right.

Before I added the 4K. The one visible top right is a mega old VGA for SSH terminals.

I guess not everyone's home office is in an upstairs room in a house with raked ceilings on the second storey (limited vertical height where the desk is - I can literally just fit the height of a single monitor). Still, 16 seems excessive haha

“Perfection is only one more power tool away” …. “I could multi-task 5% better with just one more monitor” haha

Impressive display…

The law of diminishing returns hits me at four (3 at home, 4 at work).

I use just 2x 4K.

That’s what I have at the office in my workshop, hence why I prefer WFH =)

Very interesting to see how other people work! I used to use 3 and now I just use one. I feel it helps me focus more. Having a second when needing to RDP/ssh is very useful but beyond that I find it just pulls my eyes apart

Is your username matrix_engineering because you work on a 4x4 matrix of desktops?

The name came first, I just wanted a randomey name that sounded kinda cool and not linked to my actual name, then a 2x2 matrix of monitors came later and after that matrice maths during my degree in Mechatronics.
