Files in webserver/main

Hello everyone, I have a doubt about what happens if I place MP4 files in the webserver/webapps/main directory. I'm wondering if this might affect performance or cause any issues. I've read this are not supported by Inductive. I'm also aware that if you upgrade the gateway or reinstall it, the files will be wiped. Thanks!

Once any user accesses them, you won't be able to delete them. See this topic for alternatives:

No. Storing files in the webserver folder so that you can serve them back up is not supported and cannot be supported for dynamic content. This is one of the reasons. (It is fine for static content, but is not guaranteed to keep working in future Ignition versions.) Use the WebDev module if you need to serve actual files to Perspective clients.
