Gateway Control Utility Password Reset Question

Hi,

I would like to just confirm that if I use the Gateway Control Utility Password Reset function, will it only reset the default admin account?

We need to gain access back to an Ignition Server but we do not want to reset any other users/passwords.

Yes, the reset password function:

  1. Recreates the ‘default’ usersource
  2. Recreates the ‘admin’ user
  3. Recreates the ‘administrator’ role.
  4. Set the Configure section of the Gateway, and the Designer, to both use the default user source and require the administrator role.

It will not affect any custom user sources or other users you have defined in the default usersource.
