I need help. I have Ignition Gateway v8.1.42. The gateway is running, but the web page is blank in any web browser. I tried with HTTP://localhost:8088/web/home (status/config), I also tried with the IP address of the gateway. When I configured the gateway, everything was ok, and then they just called me with an issue. It is a gateway in production; I am not sure if somebody changed something, or what could have changed, so that this happened.
What does the 'Network' tab in devtools say?
What about a different browser/incognito/private window?
What about a command line application like curl
trying to fetch the root URL?
Ok, I restart the Gateway and now is all ok. I installed around 100 gateways I never had this problem.
Thank you for your fast respond. Unfortunately, I saw your message after I reset the Gateway.
I am going to check log files and see if I can find something, some reason why it happens.
This is what I found in the gateway log file. That is the error which I do not know what is it, and how happend. I do not see that the
That looks like a downstream "symptom" of some other weird issue. You said you installed around 100 gateways - how? An orchestration system like Kubernetes? Might be something wrong with that system - it looks like your gateway started up before all the files it needs were actually in place, or something like that.
100 Gateways in life not in one factory.
I have had this same fault on multiple gateways with no good reason or logic behind it. Some are running in docker, some on local windows machines, some on server hypervisors. They will be running fine for days/weeks then suddenly the gateway webpage goes blank white and it never comes back unless you reboot the gateway.
I was expecting to see the restart of the gateway in the log files, before the issue happened and that some service didn't start properly, but no restart of the gateway in log file before issue. It looks like just happen
