getComponent() error after using find/replace. Ignition 7.8

Recently after having a discussion on how we want a certain page to look and function, we deemed it necessary to change the name of one of the components that we use on the page. After mass changing the references to this component with find and replace I suddenly get this error.

This happens on a handful of scripts, but I’ll share how I’m referencing from the script that generated this error.

event.source.parent.getComponent('Change Parts').visible = True

I’m just exceptionally confused how find/replace can break code that was working previously after it did nothing but replace the reference to the component.

If anyone has any insight I would really appreciate it.

Any trailing spaces on the name?
Also, I don’t know of any offhand, but given you’re on a five year old release it’s entirely possible this is a bug that’s been fixed since 7.8.2.

No trailing spaces, but I’ve since restarted my designer and the bug went away.

I’m assuming it’s probably just a bug with an old version of ignition. I would like to use a newer version of ignition, but you know how it is sometimes, you work with what you’re provided.
