History and release date for Vision and Perspective

Hi,
I have gotten the assignment to look up potential SCADA systems for the factory I work at. I’m currently reading up on ignition and I’m having a hard time finding how long these programs have been around. Compared to other software I’m under the impression that it is relatively new.

I have found that IA is from 2003 and that Vision derived from FactoryPMI in 2010. How much does Vison have in common with the older FactoryPMI?

I can’t find anything about when Perception was released.

It’s probably not the most important question, but it interests me. I’m a new PLC programmer and still familiarizing myself with Scada software.

Not yet, anyway.

Perspective was launched in 2019 (as far as I remember).

The Vision of 2010 was FactoryPMI, effectively. The Vision of 2024 is much more polished and performant.
