History Disabled through binding still data is getting stored in history DB tables

I disabled the tag history mode in both ways 1. Manual and 2. Through binding still The tag is not retired from the sql table “sqlth_te”. and logging data in history.
And if I Enable tag history again it will create new row entry in the sql table “sqlth_te”.

Ignition Version 8.1.5
Database - MySQL

Can Any one explain me the cause behind it.

I remember seeing that this was a bug. Not sure which version it was fixed in
