Hello, vision client stop working or lost connection on a remote PC. Keeps saying host unreachable but the host is running and I can ping it.
Any help would be great.

Is the firewall on the igntion gateway running, and is port 8088 incoming allowed?
Can you connect to a client on the server itself?
yes I can connect to client “on” the server.
this has been running for about 1 year, so maybe IT did some update and now the firewall is blocking it.

How did you solve it? I am a student and I have the same problem at home with 2 notebooks

Failing to open the Windows firewall is an extremely common reason for such failures.
Thanks for your advice, now I can open it from any other PC, it was the firewall, I made a new rule for port 8088 and that's it.

You can get a full list of ports used by various parts of Ignition in the help. It's useful if you want to use the firewall but open the required ports.
Had this issue on Mac trying to connect to a local windows server, but persisted even when firewalls were disabled on both ends…
Ended up having to go to System Settings → Privacy and Security → Local Network and Enable “java”
