How to add more colors of pump, motor, valves based on their status

I have total about 250 motors, pump and valve with popups.
Currently they all have three status running(white), stopped(grey), and faulted(red).
Clients wants to change the color of these three status of the and add one more status Maintenance with Orange color.
How can I change the color of these components effective way?

The easiest way is going to be to take the day off. Come back to work tomorrow with a new mindset and use the incoming Symbol State management portion of the Project Properties panel which should be available in tomorrow's Nightly build.
