How to Add Textbox Filters Below Each Table Header

Hi Team,

We need to add a filter textbox below each column header in the table.

The built-in filter functionality is working, but the client specifically requires a separate textbox below each column header.

One possible approach is to create a separate row above the table and use it as a container for the filter textboxes. However, if the table columns are resized (expanded or reduced), the textboxes may lose alignment with their respective columns.

What would be the best way to implement this while ensuring the textboxes remain properly aligned with the table columns?

I would be grateful for your suggestions and support.

Thanks in advance!

I don't have an exactly fitting solution, and I'm not sure if others even approve of this behavior, but this is what I would do:

  • Create one container to your liking.
  • Insert two tables in the container, with the exact same sizing settings.
  • Use the first table to show your headers.
  • Create a separate view showing just a textbox.
  • To the first table, add one data row where each column displays a view. (This can be done by setting the Render to View and adding a viewPath to a pre-made view.). Link this viewpath to the textbox view you just made.
  • Add the data you want to display to the second table.
  • Set enableHeader in the second table to False.

It's not the cleanest, I'm aware, but I wouldnt see how else I would solve this.
