Hi there!
I have a numeric field in my project that is bound to a tag (Float data type). This field allows the operator to change the setpoint of process. The alarm mode is set to "Any Change", which logs every modification to the setpoint. However, the last change is always in the active state. This causes me some problems, and I would like to know how to set the event to the Cleared state. Is this possible in version 8.1.45 of Ignition?
When I tested on 8.1.45 with an any change alarm I always saw it defaulting to cleared... maybe provide some screenshots.
I was only testing the Alarm Status Table. That shows the live alarms in the system and showed them as cleared.
The Journal will log every single alarm event transition, so it likely captures the active and cleared event which probably happen at the same time slice for this kind of alarm. Select one of those events and focus on it, do you also see the cleared row? If so, you can filter the table to ignore the active.
I had blury vision but You help me to make vision clear. Thank you!
