How to connect a gateway to my Designer Launcher

Hello!

I got my Ignition gateway running in a local computer, and I have Ignition designer runnning in another laptop computer. Would like to connect the Igntion designer to the gateway suing IP.
Can it be done adding Manually the Ip http://xxx.xxx.0.44:8088
when i add the ip, it shows host unreachable but they are in the same place

or is more complex than that?

If you are using Windows, it is not uncommon for the default firewall settings to be a problem for external connections.

Debug in stages.

  1. If you point your browser at http://xxx.xxx.0.44:8088 does the gateway homepage load?
  2. Can you ping xxx.xxx.0.44?

Thanks to you both!

Combining the firewall on pause and the ping to the ip to make sure it reach it I was able to connect my Ignitin designer from one computer to my Ignition Gateway in another.
