How to get Maker working on Mac with existing Ignition 8

I have Ignition 8.0.12 on my MacBook 10.14.6. I just downloaded Maker, followed the instructions in README.TXT, and the gateway is started. I cannot figure out how to get the gateway configuration or Designer open for Maker. What do I need to do? Do I need to specify a different port for Maker? If so, how do I do it?

I’d recommend using a VM. I’ll see if there’s a better answer out there though.

edit: installer lets you specify different ports and service name. but I’d still use the VM.

Not to highjack your thread, but what is Maker?

The challenge is that I have Windows VMs on my Mac, but they have Ignition on them already so I am going to have the same problem. I don’t know if I have disk space to add another VMWare Fusion VM. I think I am going to have to find a way for v8 and Maker to coexist on Mac 10.14.6

Hello,
Were you able to figure out a solution to this challenge?
I m having the same issue on my macbook as well.

It appears Maker cannot co-exist with Ignition on the same machine. I ended up putting it on another MacBook by itself, and it works.

It can coexist, you just have to use the zip installer and change ALL the ports being used. Or use Docker, which handles everything for you.
