HTML formatting in notification block not working

As the title states, I have attempted to use html formatting in my alarms notification block. To start with something simple I used the example given in this doc. However, when I receive the email it does not use the formatting and instead says, “At 11:23:46, alarm “Alarm” at “” transitioned to Clear.”

ignition version: Ignition version: 7.8.2

That doc is for 7.9, I don’t think HTML formatting was available in 7.8.2

Sorry, grabbed the first result off google…here’s the second link: https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/display/DOC/Pipeline+Blocks which is for 7.8. The video in that link shows the “html” as an example but never sends the email to verify it worked.
