I can't operate on Vision Client Launcher.roles problem

I can’t click acknowledge button.I get the error:
Error executing function ‘Alarming.acknowledge’: The current user does not have the required roles for this operation.

Open the project properties, go to the Permissions tab, and make sure that “Alarm Management” is enabled for your role.

I understand this is an old tread... I have done the above, then added that role to mine and others accts, saved the project , closed the client viewer, and upon opening again i still cant ack alarms without the same error message ... thoughts ? Im running ver 8.1.19
