I need some help on how Alarms work

I'm working with an alarm. Whenever is active is being shown on the Perspective Alarm Status Table, however, when the alarm is not active is still showing. Shouldn't the alarm dissapear?

How should I approach this? Should I only filter on active alarms?
I thought that the alarms had to be shelved but it looks like they don't need it.

I'm lacking some information that is making me not understanding it correctly.

Yes.

Alarm instances don't exist until the first activation, but then persist in some state thereafter.
