I don’t know if anyone else has experienced this but I have noticed that the gateway logs on 8.3.2 do not refresh/update as reliably as 8.1 when it comes to errors and util logs.
I will be debugging an error through a known trigger but was not see the error appear sometimes , after refreshing the page the error will show up. I think this is a bug?
This noticed it occurs sometimes when using the system.util.getLogger() where I also need to refresh the page to see the message.
Current gateway version is 8.3.2 (b2025120210) and I’'m using the chrome browser.
Is there any chance the Live Updates checkbox is becoming un-checked due to log interaction like expanding a log entry? We’re aware that some users are not expecting the “live” functionality of that page to turn off if they interact with any logged entries.
Ah okay thats what is happening . It’s as you describe, when expandng a log the live update becomes unchecked. Is this suppose to be the normal behavior?
It’s operating as was designed for 8.3, but we’ve heard a fair amount of negative feedback around it. There are plans to revert the change in behavior seen in 8.3, but no solid date/version for when we would do that.
