Has anyone got ignition to work with the new S7-1200 Generation 2s
I know they are supposed to be closer to a 1500 then a 1200 but neither option appears to work on symbolic
I’ve had no luck so far when trying to use symbolic addressing so wondering if anyone else has got this to work?
We’ve not tested internally, yet. Let me look around to see if there’s any info about them.
What sort of logs are you getting with the Siemens loggers set to Debug?

Apparently according to siemens they are very similar to a S7-1500 so if you just pick the S7-1500 option they will work with most things

Thanks! The logs suggest that the library we use is unable to detect the PLC type. We're trying to get our hands on one to test internally, but assuming your PLC and device connection are configured appropriately, there is probably nothing you can change on your end to get symbolic access working.
I’ve used the same setup as the S7-1500 so I’m assuming it’s all correct.

I have encountered the same problem as well.
The underlying S7 library needed to be updated with support for the new G2.
8.3.3 or 8.3.4 will have a new version of module with the updated library and support.
