I’ve got a small app that runs on a zebra handheld that has been working until recently. We’re getting a random error now saying “Application Error 404 not found” and its the path to the 196x196 favicon. When I pull it up in the web browser, it works fine. I assume that is because of the responsive design. That said, when I look at the raw HTML in the browser, I can clearly see the issue of a missing double quote after the .png
I can’t for the life of me figure out where that is coming from in perspective. Any ideas?
I would search for AMO_REPORTING in Designer, and then start looking for a corrupt icon in the view.
My guess is an accidental typo was inadvertently saved.
It's indeed a typo...on our end. It's fixed in 8.3, but affects every version of 8.1. I would just ignore it.
I wish I could ignore it :)…unfortunately the handheld we are using tries to load that icon at start up and fails because of that 404 error. I ended up having to upload a favicon to the Perspective > Branding Customization screen on the gateway. That fixed the 404 error.
