Ignition 61850 Driver seems to drop comms randomly to points, and the points just say "unknown". Also, the "Unknown" status on points comes in every few seconds, but then it clears and all the points come in.
Sometimes the point never comes back in, but a restart of the gateway does seem to bring the DCU back online inside of Ignition. However, the points seem to be taking longer to initially come in with every restart.
What version of Ignition are you using? Do you have a redundant Ignition Gateway configuration or just a single Gateway?
Ignition 8.1.35 & single gateway, I'm thinking the computer we were initially using just wasn't cutting it for the amount of points we were polling. Switched to a beefier PC and it looks like we are OK.
On a better spec'ed computer it seems to still be happening but takes a lot longer (~1 hour vs. 5-10 mins) before the DCU starts lagging and issues begin. An hour into testing and then DCU starts to take 10-15 seconds to change statuses, or it'll go unknown, etc. This seems to be fixed on a restart of the computer.
If possible I'd start by just getting upgraded to the latest 8.1.53 release, and if you continue to have issues open a support ticket.
