Hello, I’m hoping someone here can help me out. I’m working for a company which uses Ignition 7.6.4 and recently we stopped receiving email alerts from the system. According to our IT department, the SMTP server we were using was taken down and I was given a new address to use. I switched to the address I was given, but we are still not receiving email alerts. I checked to see if port 25 was open and it was.
One thing I have noticed is that the properties for our email alerts is under “Legacy Notification” not “Notification” under the “Alarming” section. From what I can tell the Alarm notification module is under a trial version which expires after 2 hours, but we have received these alerts until recently. I’m wondering what is difference between notification and legacy notification?
Any insights on how to fix this issue would be appreciated.
