Ignition 7.9 Vision Client Troubleshooting

I’m running into a problem configuring a remote PC to launch the Vision client. When I attempt to launch the project, a window briefly appears with the message “Downloading projects…”, then it closes and no client opens.

Is there any kind of troubleshooting guide or checklist for configuring remote Vision clients? Does anyone have any suggestions for things to check?

The gateway is running Ignition 7.9.9. The client is a Windows 10 machine running Java version 8 Update 241, I am currently using a 30 trial license, but Vision shows up as Activated.
