Hi,

I want to track changes of parameters in SCADA. I heard that Audit Log is the best way to do that. Does it require another license? My license features following:

  • unlimited clients, tags and designers
  • Alarm Notification Module
  • Industrial Historian Suite including SQL Historian + Historian Core
  • Perspective Module
  • Reporting Module
  • SQL Bridge Module
  • Symbol Factory
  • Ignition Platform

You don't need another license, it comes with the core platform.

To be most specific, auditing is a platform feature, but must be specifically configured and enabled.

After you've created an audit profile of any type, you then need to enable it in your project:

At which point certain user actions in Vision or Perspective (e.g. writing to tags) will automatically emit entries in the audit log.
