I was wondering if there already is an early access build for 8.3 as the target was?
If so, how can we access that?
If not so, what is the new timeline?

There is nothing available.
I think something generally available to the public as Beta will happen by ICC this year at best.
What we're calling "Early Access" is something that will be in a very unfinished pre-beta state, better thought of as an "API preview", and only available to a few partner companies.

Waitasec, I tested that anonymously ... but I also did some cleanup of old test runs yesterday. Maybe I was too aggressive.

To be clear I guess I should have nuked at least the link on the GH wiki right after testing, since this is "early" early access. Tiny bit of leakage.
That Javadoc is probably a few days old.
Couldn't help noticing simpleorm is still there.

Sure, won't get removed until 8.5, migrations wouldn't be possible if we removed it.

Are they skipping v8.2 as a beta, non-LTS release, and going straight to 8.3?
Yes. And skipping 8.4 going straight to 8.5. Don't try to make too much sense of it all.

So, ICC is today through Thursday. Can't afford to go nor pay for livestream so I suppose we are waiting for forum posts/announcements at this point. That being said, our team is very excited for the news that will follow ICC.
Based on the above screenshot, can we expect to get hands on by end of September? We are currently developing a project that will be commissioned next July. FAT is in January.
Our main thoughts are should we be expecting at some point to switch to 8.3 before the end of the 2024, or would it be more realistic to wait until 2025 spring to start building projects in 8.3?
I'd wait. There's nothing coming at or immediately after ICC.
I think the target for a public beta is currently December.
