Ignition 8.3 Micro820 Tags

Hi, I just started in the Ignition world and I'm following along the Ignition University Topics.

I'm trying to play with a Micro820 Rev6 that I have laying around to see the tags on Ignition.

I'm following the video on how to configure the Micro800, connections...devices...connection...add device...Micro800...

When I configure the device, it is showing connected as the status, but I can't see any tags, not even the controller tags. I also try doing the import, it shows that it successful, but no program tag is shown. I have also try adding a tag manually, but as soon as I hit save, it does not appear on the table.

On the debug log I'm getting:

  • Micro800 Device Browse Failed :Status=0x16[Object does not exist]
  • ReadBrowseHashRequest Error reading browse hash"Status=0x16 [object does not exist].

I'm running Ignition Standard 8.3.7 on Win11 Pro 10.0.22631
PLC is Micro820 Rev6

Ethernet Comm, PLC 192.168.1.1 PC 192.168.1.250.

Could I be missing something or could be an install/version bug?

You need a newer firmware version on that Micro820, 6 is ancient and predates when they added browse support.

Went from V6 to V14.11 and now I can see the tags.

Thanks.
