Ignition 8.3 Perspective Drawing Editor Image import

Hi all,

I’ve been playing around with the new Ignition 8.3 features, one of them being the Perspective SVG Drawing Editor. In the manual it mentions that: “The Drawing Editor supports importing vector graphics (SVGs) and images (GIF, JPEG, PNG) using drag-and-drop functionality.“

Unless I’m missing something, I can’t import an image into the editor. Perhaps this is a bug? Anyone has a similar issue?

I was able to edit an imported image or SVG by adding it to your view and then making it into a ‘Drawing’.

The manual is just incorrect; it looks like it was written against an early "specification" of the drawing editor and not revised to match the shipped reality.

The current drawing editor exclusively supports SVGs and doesn't have (currently) any ability to embed raster images into SVGs like other editors can/the SVG format supports.
