Ignition Architecture Query

Hello,
I want to setup a system in which each Ignition Edge is communicating with 10k tags and then passing the data to single Ignition server. It is going to expand and in future will have more number of devices and will communicate to that single Ignition server(approx 1m tags),
I am new to this software and dont know the limitation and wants to know this architecture will going to work.

As far as I'm aware the only limits on how many tags your system can handle is dependant on the hardware you give that server.

If you're storing the data for about 1 million tags you'll need a pretty powerful server to run your Ignition system, and personally I'd at least set up a redundant as that seems like a big single point of failure otherwise

The user manual has a nice page on the limitations of Edge. There's no limit on the number of tags, but you are limited to two devices unless you purchase more. There will be a cross-over point where a full version of Ignition will be cheaper for you -- talk to your sales rep for help on deciding which way to go.
