My company IT is now saying we need to get rid of any Java that is published from Oracle.
I notice that the OpenJDK Platform Library 17.0.17 is controlled by Oracle which doesn’t sound real good for me being able to keep the vision client launcher on computers.
Oracle stewards the OpenJDK project and owns the trademark.
This is different than the Oracle JDK, which is their distribution built from OpenJDK.
All other JDK vendors also build from OpenJDK as well. This doesn't mean they are an Oracle JDK or are encumbered by the licensing terms of the Oracle JDK.
