Ignition Designer Connection Issue

I have a VPN connection to a customer, when I try to make modifications in designer it won't connect to the gateway, or it repeatedly closes the connection and re-establishes it. Below it a picture of the logs. Is there a setting that I have wrong, or could it just be a bad connection?

Do you get any additional context from the error plus sign dropdown on the right side of each log entry?

One other area you could check is in the Designer console located in Help > Diagnostics in the Designer's top panel:


This is most likely some sort of networking or connection issue, and the log message/Designer console may provide extra info to assist with troubleshooting.
