Ignition Edge Audit Log Empty?

Hi All - I’ve been spending some time trying to get the audit log working for our Ignition Edge gateway. I’ve tried the database, and the local SQLLite. Ignition makes the tables but it does not record anything (if I change a tag its not getting recorded). Audit log remains empty. Also doesn’t record gateway changes when I have the Audit Log selected in Security / General / Gateway Audit Profile. Logs remain empty? I’m guessing this might be a limitation with Ignition Edge?

Thanks!!

Audit Log works in Edge with a storage limit of seven days:

Are you getting any errors in the diagnostic log?

Maybe show a screenshot of your settings. Ignition version is also going to be needed.

Edge Creates an EdgeAuditProfile that cannot be changed. Its the default profile that is created for edge. Its the only selection you can have as the gateway audit profile in edge. You can view the logs for that audit profile in the gateway. Are you trying to setup a remote audit profile targeting edge to view the logs from another gateway?

Hi Marcus. I'm trying to view Audit Events to see if anything is being stored actually. From what I can tell it is not? I was able to make an External and Interal(SQLite) profile. But nothing gets stored in them?

That's not an Edge screenshot.

Looks like this is standard and not edge.

  1. Create an internal profile.
  2. then assign that profile to the security general settings to log gateway events.
  3. log out of the gateway and log back in
  4. go to the Audit profile you created and click the more button and view log.

You should see something similar to this:

Thanks for your help, that should work!

Agreed - this is a one-off edge license that my company has with Inductive, I'm guessing that is part of the problem. the other part is that I needed to link the project in the designer to the profile. Its annoying how to completely configure it you need to use the designer. Thanks for your help.
