Ignition Edge Local Historian Database Storage Limitations

I have a question regarding Ignition Edge local historian storage limitations. We want to use Edge in place of a C-More or a Panelview without it connecting to a larger Vision SCADA system. This will be a basic standalone HMI with a few charts. We need to retain historical data up to 6 months. Per the documentaion it indicates the Store and Forward mechanism will store up to 35 days or 10 million data points and then purg older data. From my understanding this is only for the store and forward. Since i will not be forwarding any of this data and simply want to store for at least 6 months for historical chartsviewing and printing, does the 35 day limit still apply or does the local only storage database allow for longer retention and larger database. Thank you.

Edge's limit is total, there's no distinction between store and forward and the "database" (on Edge).

So it's still 10 million/35 days for historical data.

If the larger system is in the same facility, just use the larger system for the new task.

Thanks for getting back. Unfortunately there is no larger system. We want to utilize Edge on a single PC as a standalone HMI. Similar to a Panelview or C-More.

Then you can't have 6 months of history.

Either accept 35 days, or use Standard Ignition. (You can get a single-client Vision license.)
