Under OPC UA > Server Settings
you will first need to change the Bind Address to something like 0.0.0.0
and then restart the Gateway.
If you want to expose tags and not just devices then you'll also need to enable the "Exposed Tags" setting.
Here's a snapshot with my edge OPC UA Settings.
There's no bind address.
Reading through the forum I understand that Edge needs to be licensed to have this functionality (connecting a third party OPC UA client to Edge OPC UA Server).
If you haven't restarted since applying the license that may be required before you see the Bind Address setting.
I have restarted but no result.
I think that older version of Edge IIoT required that the MQTT Transmission module was installed as well for the plugin to be recognized. This was fixed in newer versions but it looks like you may need to install it.
Installed MQTT Transmission module. This solved the OPC UA Client issue. Now remote OPC UA Client can connect.
Thank you!
