Ignition edge status table keeps updating the alarm active time to the current day

Hello,

I’m currently evaluating Ignition Edge for my company, and I’ve run into an issue with the Alarm Status Table. Whenever an alarm becomes active and then clears, the “Active Time” shown in the table does not stay fixed. Instead, the date automatically updates to the current day (the time stays the same, only the date changes). This happens even though the alarm is no longer active.

I’m trying to understand why this behavior occurs, because we need an accurate record of when alarms originally became active. Any clarification or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You should use the Alarm Journal for history.

I understand that but the only confusion is that I have the same project open in ignition standard and the alarm status table stores all of the clear and acknowledge alarms with their original active time while in the edge edition the active times date are changing to match the current day.

Perhaps you should open a support ticket. Unexpected behavior between Edge and Standard is often a bug.
