Ignition Edge Sync


Can anyone tell me if there is an effective way to monitor this? We have serious reliability issues between a dozen gateways where the alarm journal sync service “stalls” there are some alarm that get passed to the alarm system and logged as system events but I dont see any gateway logs other than the sync service changing state.

I have to to routinely go to several of our edge sync gateways and manually reset the sync module and the only way we know this is happening is if one of our ops notices an alarm on the marqee that is was not logged in the journal.

This can go on for hours and causes real issues. Support has not been able to help in past (although I will be opening another ticket too)

Hi, did you solve it? I have an Edge gateway with sync settings and has stopped doing history sync to the main gateway 10 days ago. Do you know if it is possible to manually get the data and push it to the main database? I have reset the sync Id several times with no results. It was doing well before.

I am curious to find out is the database connection on main gateway went down and some of the records are quarantined in the store and forward system. If this is the case you can select on the “Retry button” to attempt to push it to the database
