We have multiple Ignition Edge setups.
But I see that on some of these, the tag Historian module sometimes stops working.
In the Gateway it still says "Running" but nothing is logging.
And when I restart the module, everything works again and I can also see the data from before the module "got stuck".
Clock Drift warnings are often triggered by excessive workloads, which can disrupt many normal operations. Not recovering from that is bad, though. Seems like a bug. You should open a support ticket so IA can gather your logs.
The clock drift errors also look to be completely reliable and consistent to once an hour, so it makes me think there's something happening at that time every hour causing it. But as you said, you'd think it would recover.
I have also seen that it is after each hour.
But the only thing that the PC is used for is the Ignition Edge.
So it would be strange if something else has an effect on it.
Were you able to get a resolution from support? We have experienced the same issue with much older versions of 8.1 and now we have seen it today on edge V8.1.42. Thanks!
Experiencing it also with multiple Edge sites. Would be glad to know more details (regarding total tag amount, historical tag amount, hardware where Edge is running - what exactly is “a better PC” @jeroen ?)
