Using Ignition Version 8.0.10, the designer is downloaded, installed and running properly, but the “Get Designer” button on the Ignition Gateway Home would not change to “Launch Designer”.
Am I missing a step here?
The Designer doesn’t launch directly from the homepage since Java WebStart was removed from the jdk in version 9. The downloaded Designer Launcher is an executable that you run like any other program which manages and launches the designers for 1 or more gateways.
