  2. Microsoft Sql Server 2019 - Standard Edition - 2 core pack

Anybody has used sam config? Pls let us know feedback to move ahead

How much RAM will the Ignition Gateway have?

What hardware are you going to put the SQL Server on? How much storage will it have?

How many tags will your application have? And how many of those will be OPC tags? How many of these tags will be set up for history, and at what pace?

How many Vision clients will you be supporting?

How many Perspective clients will you be supporting?

What is the resolution and max time frame of the trends these clients will be displaying?

{ The Dell hardware is decent, as far as you've shown. Tech people I respect have low opinions of Broadcom Ethernet chipsets, fwiw. }

I'd get more RAM for both gateway and SQL server. 16GB is pretty thin for that number of Perspectve clients. I wouldn't get less than 64GB for each, and configure Ignition to have ~32GB. The rest looks fine.

I don't ever buy or deploy Microsoft software, but I wonder if you can install a 2-core SQL Server license on an 8-core machine. Might want to check on that. Or not use SQL Server (I wouldn't).
