Ignition Log settings are getting reset

Hope someone can help me out...

We have a couple of tcp devices set up in our system (weigh scales) that are turned off for valid reasons periodically. While they're off, my Ignition log fills up with "connection lost" messages from the TCPDriver. Not a problem, I just go into the logger settings and change the filter to OFF for those drivers (don't really care about the errors all that much).

A day or two after changing the filter, the filter seems to automagically turn itself back on to the INFO level.

Any idea what's causing this and, even better, how to keep it from happening?

Logger levels are reset on gateway startup. Is your gateway being restarted deliberately? Or not deliberately? (Crash)

Sure enough, the customer routinely reboots the servers on Sunday morning. Is there anyway to change the config file to set new default settings?

Probably possible via logback configuration. I haven't done that myself.

Was recently trying to increase the number of visible days in Gateway -> Status -> Logs by changing level of frequently occurring errors/warnings that were currently of no use to us to OFF. Just found that the levels have reset and we are back to where we started.

Don't think this can be configured to retain after gateway restart -> logback-xml-file-reference

Posted this to ideas for consideration.
