Ignition OPC DA Server Configuration

Hello Everyone,

My OPC DA Client is installed in same Machine. When i Completed OPC DA Configuration in Ignition, the status of that server showing faulted. It was Showing this error “COM object method returns error code: 0x800401F3; CO_E_CLASSSTRING (Invalid class string)”. i already installed OPC COM Core Components dll . Is there any method that we have to follow while creating progid for OPC DA serve? Need assistance on above issue.

Ignition is not an OPC DA server. Only a client, via the OPC COM module. If you want an external OPC client to connect to Ignition, it must be OPC UA, not DA.

Unless you’ve accidentally swapped the terms in your question, you are out of luck.
