Hello! I have been using the free trial of Ignition for a bit to get acclimated with it. Recently, my opc ua status reads as 'faulted', with the message reading: 'certificate path validation failed'
UaException: status=Bad_SecurityChecksFailed, message=certificate path validation failed
I have tried some of the troubleshooting tips suggested when dealing with this issue but nothing seems to be working for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
If this is for the local/loopback connection and not to some other server then it probably means you, accidentally or otherwise, have more than one Ignition instance running, and Ignition A is connecting to the OPC server on Ignition B, which wouldn’t trust it by default.
Thanks for the quick response! Yes, it is the opc ua for the loopback connection. How would I go about double checking that there is only one instance running on the server? To my knowledge, I only have one instance of running as I have restarted my computer and ignition itself.
