Ignition Vision Client “Client Signature is Invalid” Error – Fails on Startup and Requires Multiple Launch Attempts

Hi everyone,

I am facing an issue with the Ignition Vision Client Launcher.

I have created a shortcut for my Vision project and configured it to open automatically on system startup. When the system starts, the client attempts to launch, but I get the following error:

"This launcher client signature is invalid. Contact an administrator."

Additionally, even during manual launch from the Vision Client Launcher, the same error appears multiple times. After trying around 3–5 times, the project eventually launches successfully.

So, the issue occurs both during system startup and manual launches.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this permanently would be greatly appreciated.

First thing I would do is try deleting your user cache C:\Users\Username\.ignition folder on windows, then try again - note this will get rid of all saved connections in your vision client launcher so make sure you note what gateway you are connecting to - it’s IP or hostname. I would start here though and try again.

If it's still failing after @bkarabinchak.psi's suggestion, look in the cache for the designerlauncher.log file and look in it for more verbose errors.
